It is a relatively small tradeshow happening every two years in the Austrian capital of Vienna. This time we were the only underwater photography equipment producer exhibiting but there were numerous imaging brands mostly situated in the professional market
nju system has released the Splashbag, which is a camera backpack specifically tailored to the needs of underwater image makers. Constructed to be as water resistant as possible, it features stow away harness and customizable internal dividers. It can accommodate a large SLR housing with an attached viewfinder, strobes and a dome port if required.
After our Nikonos Conversion System has been a huge success we have engineered a new generation of underwater housings that feature a radical new approach in equipment design.
Two years ago we have presented our lens project to quality conscious underwater photographers and achieved higher optical standards. By now we have expanded our system to almost all housing brands.

After 15 months of research we are proud to present the first fully electronically controlled universal housing for all DSLRs from Nikon and Canon
We have examined the reason why the 13mm is so much better and apart from the coating the dome of the 13mm is not a typical dome but a real lens with varying thickness at different areas.
We did some testing in Croatia. I was at 60m with a customized Subal ND3s and it was waterproof with the 13 mm RS lens. The pictures were remarkable especially regarding corner sharpness. The small dome of the Nikonos could easily surpass the sharpness of large 9” domes at larger apertures but still offering depth of field characteristics of small domes at smaller f-stops – and that with full FX frame. A dream came true.
